A Rushmore, Minnesota man will pay a fine and serve probation after he pled guilty to felony theft charges.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that 49-year-old Marlin Lee Jensen of Rushmore, Minnesota, has pled guilty to Theft 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony. Jensen was ordered to pay a fine of $1,437.50, court costs, restitution of any court-appointed attorney fees, and victim restitution, if any. Jensen was sentenced to 5 years in prison, with all time suspended. He will serve 2 years’ probation. Jensen was ordered to undergo a Victim Empathy Program and a Criminal Thinking Class and comply with the treatments’ recommendations.
In January, Jensen had stopped in the Super 8 motel parking lot in Sibley, while operating a snowmobile. Jensen told an Osceola County Deputy that his vehicle, trailer and snowmobile went in the ditch so he used his snowmobile to get to town. A check of Jensens vehicles showed the snowmobile and trailer were stolen. That’s when Jensen was arrested.
