Teofilo Trevino M., age 77 of Sibley, IA, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at his home near Sibley, IA.

Memorial Mass will be 10:30 AM, Friday, April 1st at St. Marys Catholic Church in Ashton. 

Visitation will be Thursday, March 31st from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley.

Teofilo Trevino was born December 4, 1933 in Madero Mexico to Herculano and Maria del Pilar Moreno Trevino. He was raised and received his education in Ciudad Madero Mexico. On April 7th, 1967 he was united in marriage to Luisa Fantini in Reynosa, Mexico. Together they lived in Reynosa, MX, McAllen, TX, Worthington, MN and Sibley, IA. To this union 3 children were born. Teofilo worked with the PEMEX Oil Co. in Mexico before retiring and moving to the United States. He enjoyed going to the movies, especially westerns and going out to eat. He also enjoyed traveling and spending the holidays with family. His family will remember him as a wonderful father and husband. He was always very caring, encouraging and protective of them. Teofilo was a great role model for his children and grandchildren always willing to lend advice. He was a true patriarch for the family. They will remember his love and happy smile. He enjoyed playing with and teasing his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Luisa; daughter, Maria del Pilar (Robert) Croatt of Sibley, IA; daughter, Maria Militza Soler (Jose Lopez); son, Mario Teofilo Trevino all of Worthington, MN; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Amelia Trevino Oviedo; brothers, Leonardo Trevino, Andres Trevino, Antonio Trevino, Armando Trevino and Pedro Trevino all of Mexico; and other extended family members.

Teofilo was preceded in death by his parents, Herculano and Maria del Pilar Trevino; brother, Juan Trevino; sister, Amelia Trevino; brother, Carlos Trevino.
